LOCATION

‘LOCATION’ is inspired by my love for travel and my interest in how location can inform craft. This particular work is inspired by traditions and techniques used within Venetian glass blowing. I focused specifically on the method ‘filigree’ and the production of coloured and twisted glass canes. The project developed into a means of portraying a symbolic message of a physical representation of the marks made on the journey of a backpacker.
